The DoD Northeast Regional Council has developed two courses, one for small business and one for prime contractors (businesses holding large contracts with the federal government). The course for small businesses is designed to introduce the small businesses to the basic concepts of federal contracting and subcontracting. The course for prime contractors is to train those employed by prime contractors who are responsible for implementing small business plans, otherwise known as Small Business Liaison Officers. These courses are often given live at the two annual Matchmaking Conferences conducted by the DoD Northeast Regional Council. Each course might also be given at other time during the year.
